Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu is out in the theatres. While Shahid’s fans, or Shanatics (as they like to call themselves), are going gaga over the movie, the janta, in general, stand divided over this socially relevant drama.
As the name suggests, Batti Gul Meter Chalu is the story of a hill town that is grappling with the acute power outage. The story revolves around three friends whose common grouse is the failing electrical grid, which is pretty much their way of life. It is when corrupt power company sends one of the friends a humongous bill, the real drama really kicks in.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu has its own special moments, especially the camaraderie between the buddies. However, the screenplay by Siddharth-Garima spends too much time establishing their interpersonal relationships, which slackens the narrative to a great extent.
Its INTERVAL and #BattiGulMeterChalu is Okay so far…not too good. Some moments are really fine. And Divyendu is fantastic here. Shahid and Shraddha both are good. Hoping for better 2nd half.
