You may remember the darling angel head in this weekends Garage Sale Report.

I have the most fun dreaming up ideas to get rid of an over abundance of craft supplies! I absolutely had too many Gold buttons! Thankfully I have really put a dent in my gold button supply with this shabby and shiny Wreath.

That was how the angel head wreath was born.  Wreaths can really add to a wall grouping or something special over the mantel.  To make my wreath I gathered all the gold colored beads and Diamond Wrap plus I spray painted the Dollar Tree Wreath form shiny gold.

If you are inspired to empty your button jar, here are the steps to make your own wreath:

#1.  Spray paint the wreath form so it will coordinate with your color scheme.

#2. Cut strips of diamond wrap or ribbon in lengths of 4″ and sort your buttons in small, medium and large.

I made a sampler of possibilities to give you an idea how creative you can be with the ribbon or diamond wrap selection.

Run a line of hot glue on the END of each piece and glue it down in the back TRYING to not glue the ribbon strip to the wreath form that way you can move the strips if you need more room for larger buttons.

This is how it looks from the back.  Notice how close the pieces are at the bottom and the larger spaces at the top.  It looks best to put the largest buttons on the top to fill in the gap.

This sampler shows how the buttons and ribbon or diamond wrap  come together!  After I took this photo it dawned on me that it would be cute to have a multicolor wreath and if the wreath form was spray painted apple green it would really be cute! However I don’t have enough buttons to make a complete sampler wreath, boo hoo.  But I do love my Gold Button Angel Wreath!  I hope it has inspired you :  )
