Facebook suspended about 200 Apps that it believes might have misused information.
The social media giant said in an article Monday that the suspensions resulted from its examination into all apps that had access to large amounts of details prior to Facebook changed its platform policies in 2014. Those changes, according to Facebook, considerably lowered the quantity of information that apps might gain access to.
Ime Archibong, vice-president of item partnerships, says that if any evidence is found that the suspended apps or other apps have misused data, they will be prohibited. Users that might have been exposed will be informed, as was the case when the Cambridge Analytica case broke.
The company says that it has canvassed countless apps up until now.
