Disembodiment and Shame Transforms Itself in Barbeque

Last year, I found Jenny Jokela somewhere on the internet, I’m always looking for interesting art and artists. I tried to contact her but she never responded so I put off writing about her. The time is right now to post more about her as this month we have been focusing on body shame and other not so nice feelings of inadequacy and judgement and her project Barbeque is going to be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK at midnight, 31 July. Barbeque is an animated deep dive into the feelings of shame, disembodiment and coping with post-traumatic stress disorder. Here are some bits and pieces including one of the trailers for the film.
