Championship Predictions: Can Reading stop Wolves from winning? Will Middlesbrough find a win against Leeds?

International break is over and once again we’ll get a chance to watch some incredible games in Championship. This week, some clubs might end their winning run, while some others can finally get back on tracks. Can Bristol City continue their good run and take all three points against Sheffield Wednesday? Is Reading strong enough to stop Wolves from continuing their winning run? Here you can find some of our predictions for this Championship matchweek.

Burton vs Sheffield United

Sheffield United is in good form, while Burton is struggling with just a point over the relegation zone. Sheffield United has won 4 and lost 4 games away from home this season, but this one should certainly be an easy one for them.
Sheffield United to win: 0-2

Preston vs Bolton

Preston is playing good this season. They are not among the best ones, but with hard work they can achieve that. Lately they found themselves in a bad run, and playing against Bolton might just be a perfect chance for them to finally get back on tracks and take all three points.
Preston to win: 2-1

Birmingham vs Nottingham Forest

Birmingham is certainly the one of those teams that are really struggling this season. They concede a lot and they are having a hard time scoring. Nottingham Forest on the other hand is having a good run and games like this are the ones that they must win to continue their fight for play-offs.
Nottingham Forest to win: 0-2

Cardiff vs Brentford

Brentford haven’t lost 9 of their last games in Championship. They are getting better, but playing against Cardiff will be a real challenge for them. Cardiff is still good enough to continue their fight for straight promotion and in games like this they will need to aim for a win. However, Brentford is a tough opponent.
Draw: 2-2

Hull vs Ipswich

This game can promise us a lot of goals. Will Hull finally grab some points or will Ipswich continue their good run? It is hard to say if any of these two is good enough to win, but it looks like Ipswich is slightly better so they will certainly aim for a win.
Ipswich to win: 2-3

Norwich vs Barnsley

Norwich is having a bad run lately, but this game is a perfect chance for them to grab some easy points before they meet with some of the best clubs in Championship. Although Norwich has been bad at home so far, they will have to win this game.
Norwich to win: 1-0

QPR vs Aston Villa

Both Wolves and Sheffield United lost against QPR as they have been magnificent at home so far this season. But Aston Villa will be prepared for a tough game, and with their ambition and great and promising squad they should try to win this one.
Aston Villa to win: 0-1

Reading vs Wolves

Reading has won against Nottingham Forest and Derby, but are they good enough to beat Wolves? Wolves are still first, but Reading can be a tough opponent, and with their good run in last few games, they will give their best to stop Wolves from taking all three points on Saturday.
Draw: 1-1

Sheffield Wednesday vs Bristol City

Sheffield Wednesday has been really good at home this season, but Bristol City is magnificent away and somehow they look unstoppable. This will certainly be a tough and interesting game, but with Bristol City being in better form, I believe that they are a slightly better side.
Bristol City to win: 1-2

Sunderland vs Millwall

In some games, you just cannot see any club winning. Sunderland has been awful this season, while Millwall is quite bad away too. Both clubs will probably score, but I just can’t see any of them winning this match.
Draw: 1-1

Fulham vs Derby

Derby can surprise you, and Fulham can do that too. But with Derby being in great form, while Fulham is struggling, it seems that Derby will aim for a win in this one. They have better squad and with losing against Reading in their last match they will need a win to get their play-offs spot back.
Derby to win: 1-3

Leeds vs Middlesbrough

Now, Sunday is giving us this magnificent game of football. Two great rivals are meeting each other, and both clubs have great squads. Lately, Middlesbrough has been in better form, but with Leeds playing at home, everything can happen. However, one thing is certain: this will be a beautiful game to watch.
Middlesbrough to win: 1-2
