Feminine radiance is not so much how you appear to the beholder. Rather, it’s about feeling really good within yourself. It’s about loving who you are. It took me many years to figure this out.

About four years ago, I was unsatisfied with everything in my life. Unhappy and negative most of the time, my life was going nowhere. I didn’t understand it then, but I know now that I simply did not love myself.

Around that time, I came across an article about how everyday products are making us sick. It was then that I decided to eliminate as many chemicals from my life as possible. I mean everything, from cleaning products to toiletries. I even adopted an Organic diet, too. Unconsciously, I began to love myself. As a result, my inner light began to shine through.

Fast forward to today. I live with the intention to take really good care of me, and to nurture myself with all good things. I’m about to share with you three key things that have really helped turn my life around.

Don’t be fooled by slick marketing designed to deceive you. You won’t become more radiant by using chemical-laden “beauty” products. If you want to become more radiant, start doing these three things immediately.

3 Simple Ways to Help You Glow from the Inside Out

Filter your water.

Tap water has to pass several standards before it’s considered safe for drinking. But that does not guarantee it is free of contaminants. Harsh chemicals used in the treatment process and quite a bit of particulate, too fine for city filtration systems, remain intact.

Luckily, there are many relatively inexpensive options to filter your water thoroughly at home. But beware, all water filters are not created equal. Do a bit of research before choosing one to discover exactly which contaminants it will eliminate. I use a gravity-fed, ceramic filter for drinking and cooking, and I have a filter on my shower head too.

Drinking and bathing with filtered water is the first step toward a more radiant you.

Eat with intention.

Nourish your mind, body, and soul with nutritious foods that nature provides. Eat Food in its natural state as much as possible. Avoid processed foods with numerous ingredients and harmful additives. Think fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

But not GMO.

Remember, “nutritious foods that nature provides.” Nature does not provide genetically modified organisms. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. We as humans are not separate from nature. We are nature! So it only makes sense that we eat naturally occurring foods.

Think organic.

Organic produce is grown without the use of harmful chemical pesticides and herbicides, which means it is grown using sustainable environmental practices. As a result, organic produce contains more vitamins and minerals than conventionally grown or genetically modified produce. By choosing organic foods, you are avoiding harmful chemical pesticides and herbicides, which are endocrine disruptors that cause serious health problems. Choose organic foods for optimal health, and also for the health of our environment.(It’s a win-win situation.)

A bit confused about what is what at the grocery store? Here’s an easy way to tell whether your produce is organic, conventional or genetically modified.

Look at the stickers attached to your produce. If it has a 4 digit code, that means pesticides and herbicides were applied externally during growth, and it is conventional.

If the sticker has a 5 digit code and begins with an 8, that means it was injected with pesticides and herbicides on a molecular level, and it has been genetically modified.

If the sticker has a 5 digit code and begins with a 9, that means it was grown organically without the use of chemical pesticides or herbicides. It also means that the farmer used sustainable environmental practices during the growing cycle. A big thumbs up to organic farmers, and to those who support them! Eating whole, organic foods will get you glowing inside and out!

Drink wheatgrass shots.

A.K.A. green sunshine! I’m talkin’ major chlorophyll! You know, the stuff that allows plants to grow and flourish? Chlorophyll contains more light energy than any other food element. And this stuff is loaded with it! Drink Wheatgrass every day and you’ll not only glow, you’ll grow and flourish too!

While growing and juicing your own is an option, there are also many brands of wheatgrass for you to choose from. Personally, I really like the type that is organic, raw 100% juice powder. I just mix it with filtered water and voila! I’ve found it’s best to mix it in a small jar, with a tight-fitting lid. Shake it — as opposed to stirring, and you’ll get a frothy juice. To be honest, the taste was something that I had to get used to. But now, I love the way it tastes! It’s hard not to love something that is so wholesome and so good for me.

So there you have it! Three ways to become more radiant. I believe in the power of three, especially the power of these three.
