NANR's Breakthrough Reform Projects Initiative

The National Association of Nonpartisan Reformers (NANR) is a Collection of Individuals and Organizations dedicated to fostering a Government that is Representative of and Responsive to the People, and to Advancing Reforms and Causes that Increase Competition, Participation, and Accountability in our Political System.

65 Individuals, Groups, and Campaigns across the Nation participated in NANR's Breakthrough Reform Projects initiative.

The Review Committee carefully considered each and every Nomination, then Submitted their Recommendations to Katherine Gehl and Michael Porter, NANR’s Honorary Co-Chairs and the Authors of the HBS Report, "Why Competition in the Politics Industry is Failing America," for their Review.

Using their Report’s Findings on Strategies for introducing Greater Competition into our Politics, Katherine and Michael Selected the following Projects:

- Catalyst Fund (nominated by IVP, FairVote and Open Primaries)

- Independent Candidate Support (nominated by Unite America)

- Ranked Choice Voting Reform (self-nominated, Voter Choice Massachusetts)

- Nonpartisan Citizen Redistricting Commission (self-nominated, FairMaps Colorado)

These Projects were determined to be the most Shovel-Ready and have the greatest Opportunity for immediate Impact.
