Women’s Body Odors and How to Stop Them

It’s a funny thing that women aren’t meant to fart, to show Body hairs or even smell. It might be a light joke that many people ignore but women’s body odors are pretty much real. Just because you are a lady won’t make you exempt from having a stink.

It may be an embarrassing to talk about body odor. But it should be discussed. It must be resolved.

Body Odors During Menstruation 

Blood is not really a pleasant thing to smell. But you can’t really stop having menstruation whenever you want to, right? Though the smell is mild, menstruation odor can be annoying and embarrassing. There are simple ways to keep the odor minimal.

Tampons and sanitary pads should not be scented. They come in contact with your vagina, so they should be as gentle as possible. Scent ingredients have the risks of causing irritation or infection which can increase the unpleasant odor.

Proper hygiene should be a priority during the menstrual cycle as well. This includes frequent changing of tampon and pads. Avoid douching as well.

Stinky Armpits

Anyone can be a victim of stinky armpits. There are a lot of factors that contribute to this. We have sweat, body hairs, current temperature, the intensity of activities, and clothing fabric. The armpits are affected with every movement, every shirt, and every change in temperature. This always results to sweat and stink to form.  

Like body odor during menstruation, proper hygiene is the best way to stop your armpits in forming odor. Antiperspirant is also recommended to tone down the sweating which is the major cause of odor.

Vaginal Odor

The vagina naturally secretes moisture and a bit of discharge, but these should not smell bad. A bad stench could mean vaginal infection, bacterial vaginosis, or worse yeast infection.

Vaginal odor can also be caused by an imbalance of good and bad bacteria in the area. Reduce the risk of odor with the help of vaginal serums. Not only will these serums improve the skin around the vagina, it will also keep the moisture in check.

The vagina can also suffer from sweating if not left to dry or breathe out every once in a while. Switch to breathable cotton panties to help keep the area sweat-free.

Bad Breath

Early studies say that women speak 13,000 times more than men. And in that big difference, how much of it was spoken with a fresh breath? It is normal for the breath to be less fresh as the day passes. But if it stinks even with proper diet, something must be wrong.

Spices, onion, and garlic are known to make the breath stink after they are eaten. This is resolved by brushing and flossing. But if you have halitosis or a gum disease, it will be worth it to visit th dentist.

Funky Feet

Smelly feet is often caused by sweat and dirt combined. Make sure that the toes are dry before putting on socks and shoes. If your feet are sweating, use antiperspirant or foot powder. Make sure that your shoes will also get enough air when you’re not using them.

Women’s body odors may sound like a small thing, but they are a serious matter. Body odor is body odor there’s no other way of putting it, just ways to resolve it.
