Borderline Personality Disorder, or BPD, is characterized by a fear of abandonment, stormy relationships, emotional instability, and feelings of emptiness. Those with the condition often engage in risky and impulsive behavior, come across as irritable, and often injure themselves. As such, BPD can be a very debilitating disorder for the person and those around them.
