I’m obsessed with making my Lashes darker and longer than they already are. I have thick, long dark lashes that don’t really require me to use Mascara. Side note: Yes, I’m completely aware that this last statement isn’t making me any friends.
Yet, I do try all and any mascara that promises add volume to my lashes. Why? So I can go from having pretty natural looking lashes to looking like someone who is wearing falsies ALL THE TIME (#goals).
And while I’m pretty sure that I’ve found some pretty amazing mascara formulations that don’t give me raccoon eyes (oily skin problems), taking care of my lower lashes has always been an issue. UNTIL NOW.
While watching a fantastic Adele Makeup Tutorial (because who in their right mind does not want to look like Adele? SRSLY), I found the answer to my lower lash question: The Fanned Mascara brush. Though the one used in the tutorial is M.A.C., I think I found a decent enough ringer in Bdellium Tools Professional Makeup Brush Studio Line – Mascara Fan Brush 731 ($11.50).
What it claims:
- Perfect for flawless application
- Luxuriously lacquered wooden handle for convenience
- Perfect tool for light and even application of mascara
- Minimizes both clumping and smearing of mascara while giving you the option of dictating the intensity of your application with ease
Application (5/5): I used the brush for my birthday party (lower lashes only). I remain pleasantly surprised by how well the brush applies mascara (and makes me look like I have doll lashes). I ordered the brush from Amazon on a whim, and my expectations had been pretty low.
Construction/Quality/Durability (4/5): The brush on par with other makeup brushes I’ve used in the past, such as M.A.C. and Sephora Pro Tools (and for a much lower price). The only reason I don’t feel comfortable giving it a 5/5 in this area is because I’ve only owned it for about two weeks. Time will tell how the brush holds up.
This mascara brush is for people who want to apply buildable mascara to their lower/upper lashes.
FINAL SAY: 4.5/5
