Little Black Dress

The Little Black Dress (LBD) is a trend that will never go out of fashion. Rock a LBD to work, to go grocery shopping, for brunch, for a night out with your girls; the options are never-ending. Easy to throw on, this wardrobe staple can be worn all year round. In this post, I’ll be featuring two LBDs from Zoë Elizabeth! Zoe Elizabeth carries very afforadable and easy to wear clothing pieces. Her pieces are so versatile, they can be worn on their own or easily used in layering.

I asked Zoe a couple of questions about her brand:

When did you start your brand and is there a unique story behind it?

Zoë Elizabeth was established in 2014, it was always my dream to run a fashion label so when I finished school and went TAFE and learnt a lot more about design I just decided to jump in and do it. Zoë Elizabeth the label is devoted to the passionate, daring, experimental and free-spirited. My label is constantly evolving its aesthetics, and is always bringing fresh styles and timeless pieces to customers.

What were your inspirations for Wildfire?

The Wildfire collection is all about layering. I wanted the collection to be a bit free spirited and fun, I designed a few going out pieces as well as some everyday pieces that my customers can wear and find versatile for their wardrobe.

If you can describe your products/clothes style in 5 words, what would it be?

Free-spirited, Versatile, Flattering, Chic and effortless
Do you have any quotes or believes you live by? And do you think it channels through your designs?

I have two quotes that Ive had on my desktop for years! I can’t remember who they’re by though-  ‘Never a failure always a lesson.’ and ‘If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough.’ These quotes helped me start zoë Elizabeth. I took look at them when I doubt myself or feel defeated, especially if something doesn’t work out the way I wanted.

Now moving on to the two looks!

Day Dress

This casual number has a loose fit with bell sleeves. It’s “flow-y” and so comfortable, making it a perfect day time LBD for me. I paired the “Simple Things” Dress with a wide brim floppy hat and lace up peep toe boots. This versatile dress can be dressed up and worn on a night out too.

I feel like i channel some serious Zoe Benson (from AHS coven) vibes in the following picture

Dress: Zoë Elizabeth

Necklace: Swarovski

Bag: Kate Spade

Shoes: Therapy Shoes

Night Dress

For this night time look, i dressed the “In the Moonlight” Dress with pops of red. Chokers are in trend right now and they’re sold everywhere but i can’t bring myself to pay more than $10 for a short piece of cloth or ribbons. So for this look, I used one of the ribbons i bought from a little spotlight haul I did awhile ago.

I have a unjustifiable obsession with getting a fur coat every winter even though i only get to wear them about five times each time. Can it be more socially acceptable to wear fur coats on a regular day in Adelaide please?

Dress: Zoë Elizabeth

Shoes: Lipstik Shoes

On a side note, i’m testing the waters with this new photo editing style; Yay or Nay?  Thanks for the read as always!

xx
