Being in denial is something we all do at some point or another, whether it’s the weekend ending or, in Audrey O.’s case, weekend starting!
Hey everyone! I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve started losing track of time lately. Time is such an unrealistic thing at times (at times – see what I did there?!) Time’s like a perspective only.
Some days it feels like a whole week has been just rolled into one or two days. And sometimes a day feels like eternity. Well, surely I know of the concept that time passes faster when one is having fun, but doesn’t it sometimes feel that we’ve spent so much time in just a short amount of time? I mean, spent a long figurative amount of time in a short literal amount of time… Well, sometimes it makes me feel like I’ve aged so much in just a month! Lol!
Yeah, laugh at me, but no matter what you say, some weeks it just feels like, “Ugh! Can it be Friday already?” And some weeks are like “What? It’s Friday already?! Yay!” But lately, it’s been happening with me that on Thursdays, I start feeling like it’s Friday. Happened with me twice already. Until people remind me that no – it’s still Thursday.
Anyway while I’ve given away the comic already, let’s just stop here and let Audrey O. represent my sadness, and disappointed feelings, in times like this!!
Audrey O. (Vol.1 E38) – Being in Denial
Sometimes we can all use not being given a reality check, especially when being in Denial is just so peaceful…
This has been a fun episode to make, because 1. This is the first office episode in which Audrey’s boss isn’t there. And 2. her colleagues’ expressions were just so cool to make! Yeah, I enjoy making these comics so much. That’s perhaps why I’m working on a Saturday night at 3 a.m.!
Well, I hope it’s as much fun for you all to read. Pls suggest your ideas, too. Does it happen with you, too, that being in denial sometimes seems like so much better than living in reality? Lemme know by tweeting your thoughts to me @shilpa1ahuja!
