My CD/Vinyl Collection

I've always preferred collecting CD's than downloading Albums from iTunes, and I'm slowly starting to collect some vinyl too. Music has always been a massive part of my life, and a major source of inspiration. I've been playing, writing and listening to music for my whole life so I thought I would start making some music related posts here!
I'm not going to say I love every genre of music, because that definitely isn't true, but I am starting to broaden my horizons a bit more (as I am with other aspects of my life) and listen to something different and new for me, but my favourite will probably always be alternative/indie.

It is no secret that Foals are my favourite band. It probably ridiculous how much money I've spent on them over the past 6 years. So far I've collected all of their albums on CD, including the special edition of Holy Fire and a signed copy of Holy Fire.

I've also got the What Went Down boxset which came with the vinyl...

...and the Holy Fire boxset which came with the album vinyl and My Number single.

Bat For Lashes is another one of my all time favourite artists. I have her single of Pearl's Dream because that song has a very special place in my heart, same with A Wall which I have the CD single of. I then have a special edition of Two Suns and The Haunted Man (Fur and Gold was an online purchase).

A girl gave me this Cub Sports LP. I hate her but I love them so....I kept it...

Snakadaktal is one of my favourite Australian bands (RIP). They have broken my heart and I'm not sure if I have forgiven them yet. But I do also have Sean's EP which is signed so that's cool...
Oh and I'm completely in love with Warpaint and it is my dream to see them live one day.

Florence is another one of my favourites. I do also have the normal edition of Lungs, which I bought online, and my dad bought HBHBHB which I desperately want on vinyl.

I keep saying 'so and so' is one of my favourites but M83's album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming is one of my all time Favourite Albums. It's so so beautiful, and so is all of his other earlier work (I'm unfortunately not digging his new stuff as much.) Also Marina. Who doesn't love Marina?

Banks is my ultimate goals. She's just so cool and her album is so cool and I just really really love her. I also love Haim and The Jezabels who I've seen twice now. I have their other albums too just not physically. Also can we talk about how Ellie Goulding's Halcyon was a solid album and then somehow she managed to start writing complete shit? I'm so disappointed.

Staples in anyones collection TBH...

I can't listen to Vampire Weekend (thanks to that girl) but this album was beautiful when I could. I also like this one from Regina Spektor, and I'm in love with Kimbra (who I've also seen live. She was amazing. Go see her please)

The Wombats are a classic fave. I remember 13 year old me just blasting their music constantly and when I saw them at my first Groovin The Moo I almost cried (and almost punched someone in the face but that is a whole other story)

Bombay Bicycle Club are another all time fave. Jack's voice is one of my favourite voices ever it's just so beautiful. My favourite is probably A Different Kind of Fix.

Two more bands I've seen live and that I love to bits, except I didn't really like The Jungle Giants' latest album...still love these ones though. Alpine are also my favourite Australian band tied with The Jezabels and Snakadaktal. I also got to meet them and they were so sweet.

OK I've seen Last Dinosaurs too....and they were great. These aren't my favourite albums ever but they're still nice and younger me loved them.

The Suburbs is one of my all time favourite albums. Enough said. Also The Rip Tide is one of the most beautiful albums ever.

I can't listen to Alt J for the same reason I can't listen to VW but again, when I could this album was great! And I've also seen The Maccabees live...definitely go see them if you can they were amazing. Friendly Fires are beautiful too but I'm yet to see them (but really really want to) and I only like a few songs from The Horrors' Skying.

I don't listen to any of these albums anymore...they're kinda plain and basic and I found I got really bored of them quickly...I'm so sorry. They were great when I first got them though?
