Current Inspirations and Favourites

There are so many things and people I have been Loving the past month or so, so I thought I'd make an updated favourites!

I'm going to start with my music favourites and inspiration. I have been loving (basically in love with) Dua Lipa. I've had 'Last Dance' on repeat for days now. I'm so excited for her to release new music/an album so I have more of her to listen to!

I don't know why, but I've only just recently listened to Beirut's latest album 'No No No' and oh my god I'm glad I did. It might even be a little bit better than 'The Rip Tide'. Some of my favourites include 'Perth' (and the music video is so beautiful too), 'No No No' and 'At Once'.

I also need to give a shout out to Vallis Alps  and Twenty One Pilots who I saw at GTM and who were both beautiful. Actually GTM in general is a favourite. If you haven't yet, go check out my post all about it!

My youtube favourite for this month has been Stealthespotlight. I feel like lately, Katie has really been stepping up her game and creating even more amazing and inspiring videos. Her editing is always perfect and so, so cool.

Which leads me on to another favourite, 60s inspired fashion, which Katie did a whole video on (my personal all time favourite of hers). My favourite outfit from the video is this one which is just so cool and fun and I would totally wear it.

My brother actually bought me this pillow (that was in my Homewares Wishlist) my for birthday and I love it. It's so soft and so cute and there isn't really much you can say about a pillow, is there?

A year ago if you told me I would be loving anything animal print, I probably would have laughed at your face. I can even be quoted saying 'the day I love animal print is the day that I am no longer me'....so....who am I then?
I recently bought these shoes for my birthday and even though they somehow managed to give me a blister on the bottom of my foot, I love them (they just needed some breaking in, it's all good now I promise). Can I also mention that they were on sale for $20 from $80 and my mum went halves with me so I only paid $10 for them?

This skinny scarf is also a newer addition to my closet (and was again another thing on sale, $20 --> $5) but I still love it so much. I haven't had many opportunities to wear it (I don't go out much, OK?) but I'm definitely going to try to wear it as much as I can.

I don't have many beauty favourites because I don't really have the money to spend on cosmetics but I did purchase this Mario Badescu Toner for my birthday and I've been loving it. It's slowly but surely helping with my acne scarring which is something I've been wanting to work on for forever. I read that a few people said it burnt their skin, especially if they had acne/sores on their face but it hasn't stung at all for me. If you have sensitive skin though, I'd be careful.

This Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige was actually part of a prize pack I won and I've been loving using it as just a basic everyday eyeshadow. I just sweep a bit over my lids and it gives me some colour without having to worry about blending too much. It stays all day and doesn't crease and is the creamiest cream eyeshadow I've ever used. It's amazing, but unfortunately not cruelty free so I won't be spending my money on another one.

If you know me, you'll know that I am obsessed with The Walking Dead. Like, Obsessed. I've been watching the TV show for years and am yet to give up or get bored of it (unlike other shows that somehow managed to majorly fuck themselves up in the span of one season *cough* Shameless *cough*). I hadn't read the comics until late last year which I binge read (is that a term?) because they are just So Good. Before TWD I had never even read a comic and wasn't really interested but now I'm obsessed. I'm actually in the middle of rereading every issue of TWD and I can't wait for the next issue. From the comics my favourite characters are Glenn, Michonne, Jesus and Maggie, but I also love Tara from the show.

If  you watch the TV show definitely read the comics, even if you have never read a comic in your life. Spoilers also aren't something you need to really worry about either because the show can be super different to the comics, and honestly, watching the show is so much more exciting when you've read the comics (Like when Negan was finally introduced....oh my god).
Ok I've gone on enough about this oops.

And those are all of my favourites for right now!
