Fenty X Puma Spring 2017 Ready-To-Wear Highlights

Like most people on the planet, I'm obsessed with Rihanna's Style and could only wish to have the confidence to pull off some of her looks (and the ability to walk on grates in tiny heels without dying or breaking an ankle). Having amazing style doesn't, however, automatically mean you'd be a great designer, but for Rihanna (because, well, she's Rihanna), it does.

It's only her second time teaming up with Puma to release her designs, but she's actually doing an amazing job (unlike a certain, famous Adidas collab.....). Compared to last season, which had an obvious gothic vibe, this collection is a lot more feminine and delicate but still has that 'Rihanna' edge to it. Those who Love her street style, or street style in general, will be dreaming of owning pieces like the super oversized green hoodie or the pink, floral satin-y boiler suit.

She described the clothes as something Marie Antionette might wear in an alternate universe, which explains the use the corsets combined with more relaxed, sportswear inspired pieces. The combination of pieces like this pink Lace up corset, and the green lace up cap is interesting and somehow works? I especially loved the laces hanging down from the pink t-shirt, it's a cool idea and something I haven't seen before. Green and pink were definitely the colour theme this season.

This is one of my favourites looks. It's both feminine and edgy, the lingerie inspired playsuit being the 'feminine' and the boots and plastic looking, floor length coat providing the 'edgy'. The coat is probably my favourite piece but even if I was lucky enough to somehow get one, I'd never be able to wear it where I live.

First off, I love those shoes. They're like a weird platform, sneaker thing that I'm obviously not very good at describing but they're cool. Oh, and this is the pink floral boiler suit I mentioned above that I'm sure is a favourite of everyones because it's beautiful.

Another one of my favourite looks, maybe my favourite. I just really love the layering of the off the shoulder mesh top that goes all the way down to the hands, and the loose, wide legged jumpsuit which is so beautiful. I would totally wear this myself. Again, the shoes are so cool and I love that these ones are all green.

These are the shoes I'm not completely sold on. The laces in the other pieces like the hats, and even this choker I like, but I'm not feeling these lace heels. That being said, I love the rest of this look. It's very raw and almost unfinished looking, but the pink and florals adds a feminine touch, as does the lace on the shorts. I mentioned that I loved the shirt with the laces hanging from the sleeves, and it also comes in green.

I'm not sure what those sleeves hanging down from the front are for but I'm digging it? At least I like the layering and tie detail over the super oversized hoodie. I'm also a fan of the extremely flared pants and basically just this whole look. It's one of my favourites even though, in a way, it's really simple and basic.

There were a few all white looks, but I didn't love them as much as I loved the other ones. I did really like this one though, mostly because of the sheer coat that has little ruffles on the cuffs. The jumpsuit is basic but still beautiful, with the lace peeping at the top, but the shoes and hat give the look a more sporty vibe so it isn't completely feminine and delicate.

Another corset-like piece that is very feminine with the sheer fabric, ruffles and cold shoulder silhouette. It's beautiful and I love it. Again, the look had sporty vibes with the shoes and obviously the baggy, lace up track pants in a matching colour to the top. Layering was done so, so well in these looks and the peep of white lace shorts is a nice touch.

Though I'm not 100% sold on the shoes, this look is amazing. The little detail of ruffles and beading on the bottom of what I'm assuming look like bike pants is so beautiful and I love the layering of the silk/satin-y slip shape over the hoodie. It's an interesting mix and for me it works.

Rihanna has already established herself as a queen of street style, and her Fenty collections are a perfect representation of her style, and how she isn't afraid of taking risks and wearing something unique and bold. She's done a great job so far, in my opinion, with creating collections and I can't wait to see what she does next.
