September Review and Inspirations

This month started off super busy and hectic. My assignments were still a little crazy, but thankfully most of this month was my break from my course...which was lucky because my health unfortunately took a bad turn. The majority of this month was spent either battling mental health issues, or a bad case of bronchitis which was so much fun! I won't go into the gross details but you can probably tell that September hasn't been my best month (health wise, at least). In terms of this blog though, I've been loving making highlights posts on collections that I've fallen in love with. Specifically here I want to Mention my absolute favourites (so far), the Rachel Comey and, of course, the Gucci Spring 2017 (highlights post coming soon I promise!) collections.

Being sick meant that I had a lot (A LOT) of time to catch up on, and rewatch TV shows so I definitely put that free month of Netflix to good use. Special mentions go to Stranger Things (which I talked about in my last monthly review/inspirations), Shadowhunters, Jessica Jones, Teen Wolf and Daredevil, but the real highlight was The Get Down.

Not only does it have the most beautiful cast in the world, but the Style, music (I've had that song stuck in my head all month), cinematography, story, and basically just everything about it is amazing. You've probably already heard all about it so I won't go on and on, plus if you haven't seen it yet it's so much better going into it not knowing what is going on (I mean, it's only 6 episodes). If you haven't yet, please watch it, especially if you love 70s music and style.

I also may have rewatched all of The Walking Dead in preparation for season 7 next month, where I can say with 97% certainty that both Abraham, and my dad Glenn are going to die (RIP the only Asian character in the series). I'm still deadset in believing that season 6 was the best one so far, mostly because the best episode in the shows history (609) was in it and the because of the introduction of the gay lord Jesus.

Oh and 'Richonne' became a thing too which I'm super excited about. Honestly I could talk about TWD for days so if anyone wants to discuss it hmu.

In terms of music, I've still had all of BANKS' new songs on repeat, but I do have to mention Warpaint's new album, 'Heads Up'. They're one of my all time favourite bands and thankfully they didn't disappoint. I wasn't a fan of the first single 'New Song', which had me a little worried, but I had no reason whats so ever to be.

My favourites are 'So Good', 'Heads Up', 'Whiteout' and 'Above Control', but if you haven't yet checked them out please do so! Especially if you're a fan of bands like Foals and Daughter.

For style inspiration I've been turning to Lizzy Hadfield/Shotfromthestreet. I'm not going to say too much here, because I'm working on a separate style inspirations post on her right now but I wanted to give her a mention because her style is amazing!

I think that's everything I wanted to mention this month! Next month well definitely be busier so I probably won't be posting as much as I did this month, but I will do my best.
