What is it about the pin-up look that attracts you?
It might be a cliché but when I first saw Joan Holloway in Mad Men something just clicked. I had been trying to be fashionable and on trend for years, struggling to find clothes that fit, Wearing Trousers and battling with my long torso.

I saw that gorgeous woman in her early sixties dresses and I decided then and there to stop wearing trousers. I’ve never looked back. Although, I now own a pair of retro pedal pushers.
Also I love looking uber feminine. I don’t really act all that feminine but I’ve been blessed with this figure and I damn well going to show it off!

Who are your biggest style icons?
Joan Holloway for sure! But more than that, my grandmother. She’s the most stylish 82 year old you’ll ever meet. She taught me ladies wear hats, anyone can get away with fishnets if you Style it right and there is no such thing as overdressed.

Speaking strictly style, what is your favourite era and why?
For me it’s late forties to early sixties. That is the time designers favoured hourglass shapes. I adore thirties clothing but I don’t think it suits me.

What advice would you give someone who is trying to achieve that classic pin-up look?
Find what works for you. Just trying a slightly longer hemline on a pencil skirt could transform your look. You have to feel comfortable to look amazing. You probably have all the ingredients in your wardrobe already. Oh and don’t be affraid to stand out. That’s the whole idea!

Finally, which Voodoo Vixen item are you currently lusting after?
Ooh I’m on a cardigan search at the moment and adore the Cresida. Look at that strawberry!
