What is it about the pin-up look that attracts you?
Pin-up is all about personal Style. It can make you feel like your best, most confident self! There’s a variety of styles to choose from, which can make getting dressed all the more fun.

Who are your biggest style icons?
The Ronettes’ Ronnie Spector inspires my daily cat-eye, while That Girl’s Marlo Thomas is pure hairspiration. Style-wise, I’m ever-inspired by fellow bloggers and old movies like Funny Face and Bye Bye Birdie!

Speaking strictly style, what is your favourite era and why?
I’m a late 50’s/early 60’s kind of girl. 1963 was a good year for style and culture. There was French new wave, early Beatles and fabulous girl groups. Give me a full skirt and saddle shoes any day of the week!

What advice would you give someone who is trying to achieve that classic pin-up look?

The best way is baby steps. Step outside your comfort zone, but trust your instincts. You’ll find the things you love best in no time at all! Social media is a fantastic tool. You can use sites like Pinterest to figure out your favorite look. Try and experiment!

Finally, which Voodoo Vixen item are you currently lusting after?

I’m always up for pink gingham! No one does prints like Voodoo Vixen and I’ve had my eye on this darling dress. Other dreamy choices include a pretty poodle skirt and sassy strawberry print.
