Aromaesti Elixir Argan and Olive Multi Active Face Cream Review

I have to admit I use a lot of skincare products but I don’t tend to use a day or a night Cream, on an evening I often use a serum or an oil and in the day I know I probably should but I just don’t tend to bother with a day cream. When Rachel went to Greece she kindly bought me some beauty products and she got a free sample of the Aromaesti Elixir Argan and Olive Multi Active Face Cream (what a mouthful) so today I gave a whirl and here’s my review.

I quite like the little sample sachet I don’t know it’s really cute and I love the design of it it’s really aesthetically pleasing. I have no idea what this cost I’m guessing it was a freebie with the Aromaesti Body Scrub. This is aimed at combination skin which I have (my skin is sensitive as well) so this should work well with my skin.

The product claims of this are as follows:
Nourishes, moisturises and regenerates skin. It is immediately absorbed giving the skin the necessary nutrition and protection. The rich in extracts formula refreshes skin and keeps it healthy.”

First of all I thought that this would smell like olives, now I’m not a fan of olive scents like olive soap smells vile to me so I was grateful that this cream didn’t smell like that but it did have a really strong smell that churned my stomach only it smelled like…marmalade. I’m not quite sure how or why this smells like orange jam but it really did and I wasn’t a fan of it I have to admit.

This was nice and moisturising but it took a while to sink in and my face did feel a bit sticky which wasn’t great, this kind or sat on the skin and went tacky even after I rubbed it in, and my skin is on the drier side so I wasn’t too impressed with that.

Thankfully this didn’t irritate my skin which is always a positive but at the same time I wouldn’t say it massively nourishes it either, it did feel more hydrated and softer through the day but it wasn’t groundbreaking.

Although this particular cream didn’t blow me away it has made me become intrigued by the idea of using moisturiser or a cream in a morning, I don’t tend to do much skincare in a morning simply due to time and because I don’t want it to disturb my makeup but my skin did feel soft today so it may be something that I have to consider. I did try an excellent blurring one from the L’oreal Skin Perfection range a while ago so I might just have to invest in that.

Further information about the Aromaesti Range is here they offer a variety of creams for different skin types, I’m not sure if you can purchase from this website though but it may be a good starting point should you wish to try the range for yourself.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and if you did please hit the like button, let me know in the comments if you tend to use a day cream and if so what are your recommendations? Also please follow my blog if you’re not already it makes me happy
