Spring Beauty Edit 2017

I’m not sure when the official first day of Spring is but in my mind it’s March and that means I’m cracking out my spring beauty products. It’s been extremely cold lately in the UK so I’m eagerly anticipating blue skies, sunshine and blooming flowers so in honour of my excitement, here’s the products I’ll be using throughout Spring.

Eyes
My eye makeup routine doesn’t tend to differ too much from season to season but I won’t be using as many smoky shades and will be opting for rosy toned neutrals so I can see myself getting a lot of use out of my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I have a love/hate relationship with eyeliner most of the time my wings end up wonky and black liner tends to run on me a lot so I’ll be sticking with my Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl in Nude for that no muss no fuss look.

Face
I tend to stick with a full coverage base at the moment when I need my makeup to last however, on days where I can go a little lighter I’ll be using something like the L’oreal True Match Foundation this has a medium coverage and it has a beautiful dewy finish that adds plenty of radiance. For blusher I’ll be hitting the pinks big times for a matte option I’m currently enjoying the Body Shop All-In-One Cheek Colour in Guava for that fresh pop of pink. If I want to use a cream product then the ELF Cream Blusher in Heartbreaker is just stunning. It has quite a bouncy whipped texture so I like to pat it onto my cheeks and blend for a natural flush. I love pink toned highlights so the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter has been getting a lot of love form me lately, despite my skin having neutral undertones I cannot get enough of pink highlighting products especially for spring. If you don’t like pink though don’t worry they also have a beautiful pale gold and they’ve recently expanded their range to include peach and even grey!

Lips
My current go-to shades at the moment are fresh pinks that are my perfect MLBB shades. At the moment I’ve been enjoying the Rimmel Exxaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob I also really enjoying using the Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in Natural Beauty and the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Fiend all of these are near enough the same shade but vary in texture and formula depending if you prefer matte, satin or glossier finishes. Lip balm is a must all year round anyway for me and the Body Shop Born Lippy in Raspberry has a wonderful scent that reminds me of sweets plus it nourishes my lips.

Nails
Of course I have to be cliched and pull out a few pastel shades. The Essie Nail Polish in Lapiz of Luxury is a gorgeous baby blue shade that I love for spring. Despite looking quite dark in the photo the Maybelline Forever Strong Nail Enamel in Surreal is a beautiful mid-toned not quite pale but definitely not deep either plus it has blue undertones. Finally, I will be reviewing this tomorrow but the Nails Inc Gel Polish in Regent Street is a beautiful pale blue that has a super glossy finish and wears well throughout the week.

Fragrance
Fragrance is of course very personal and I switch through perfumes anyway. I do like to try a variety of body sprays to experiment with floral scents. The Impulse Romantic Spark Body Spray reminds me of Parma Violets and is a powdery sweet scent  – not my usual type but I quite like it. I’ll also be getting plenty of use out of my fruiter scents such as Lacoste Touch of Pink throughout the season.
