Technically Fall doesn’t begin for a few more days, but don’t get on my case ok?  I know!  I’m not trying to ruin things and for the record I have not started drinking PSLs. Although also for the record I never drink those because I think they taste like dish soap, cinnamon and poison. I know that a very unpopular opinion (don’t hate me!)

I just want to talk about awesome new Fall Nail Colors so we can all be prepared. I mean the second a leaf falls from that maple tree in my yard I will be running into my house to slather myself in everything burgundy that I own, so we need to be ready.  This is not a drill.

Every year I like to do a post featuring my favorite new fall Nail Colors, but this year I did a bad bad thing…I repeated a color from last year. So let’s call them new-ish fall colors shall we?  It wasn’t an accident though! It’s just the best and I couldn’t help it.  I even bought a new bottle of it because I used up the entire bottle that I got last year and we all know how rare it is to use up a whole bottle of polish.  Or at least use it up until theres a half hardened, unusable, tiny blob of goo left in it.

Wow that’s a lot of rambling about nail polish before I even start talking about the actual nail polish. Reel it in, Quinn let’s take a look at these new fall nail colors

CHINA GLAZE – HEROINE CHIC  // This color is verrrrry interesting.  It has a charcoal gray base with red shimmering flakes which give it an almost purple hue.  Very 90s and on trend without being over the top, I must say.  I don’t love the brush in China Glaze polishes, its really long and thin which means you need more swipes and have less control, but the formula is good and for 2.99 they get a pass on the brush.  Especially since I dig the color so much.

ESSIE – PLAYING KOI //  UGH fall in a bottle.  It’s named for a Koi fish but if you ask me it’s a liquid pumpkin.  Deep, burnt, rusty oranges are everywhere this fall and I kinda don’t understand why they haven’t been everywhere, ever fall since the dawn of time.

OPI – SUZI THE FIRST LADY OF NAILS // I hate the name of this, am I really supposed to recite that entire phrase when someone asks me what color I’m wearing?  BUT I have been hunting for a great olive-drab army green thats not too khaki and not too dark for literally three years and I’m so happy with this one.  Its the perfect balance of green that I was looking for.

ESSIE – LEGGY LEGEND //  This is the one thats making me an outfit repeater…or a polish repeater I guess.  But I couldn’t get enough of this color last fall and and still can’t now.  It’s deep and warm and bronze and reflective and it wears like an absolute dream.  You need it, I’m just saying.

ESSIE – ARMED & READY //  This one is part of Essie’s permanent line if I’m not mistaken.  It’s a deep charcoal gray, and I mean what is fall without deep gray tones?  But in the sunlight it has a hint of  barely detectible bronze shimmer.  It’s subtle but it takes it from regular-degular gray to full on fall staple.

Those are the colors that will most certainly be gracing my flanges this fall.  I’m already wearing Heroine Chic right now because I felt like it was a good transition color without ruining the fun of fall once the cooler weather gets here.
