It might have been a stroke of clairvoyance, but as we seem destined to spend our summer at home this year, Jo Malone’s vision of bringing the outdoors home cannot be more timely. Jo Malone Brit Marmalade Collection pays homage to the tradition of creating homemade preserves, and sharing them with the family over breakfast and afternoon tea. There are 5 fragrances in this collection, and they are designed to revolve around my personal favourite Blackberry and Bay [reviewed here], making this a collection not to be missed!
Jo Malone Brit Marmalade Collection introduces 3 limited edition new fragrances:
- Rose Blush is a fresh, untraditional take on the classic rose scent. Jo Malone created a jelly-like, transparent texture out of the rose petal; and added a bit of lychee making me almost salivate. A hint of basil gave Rose Blush a green, herbaceous twist.
- Orange Peel strikes the right balance between juicy fruit and bitter rind. I was surprised to find a warm golden amber in there, and fell instantly in love.
- Tangy Rhubarb is the quintessential summer cologne! Zesty orange layered upon gentle cedar, there is a yummy rhubarb in there, though it may be hard to pick it out with our Singapore palette.
Returning from a past collection is Elderflower Cordial. This is my first time experiencing this fragrance, and I immediately felt a dose of powdery sweetness. It feels very English to me, very girlie.
You may have already noticed, that with this collection, Jo Malone has introduced a new bottle design that resembles blue china. Given I recently moved and fully obsessed with organising, I am ecstatic to be adding another limited edition Jo Malone gift box to my collection. This season’s offering alternates between blue gingham and paisley prints. For those who love collecting trinkets, there is also a very pretty tin that you can get with every 2 bottles purchased. Everything is limited edition of course.
