When I heard that Tom Ford Beauty was finally coming to Manila, I knew I needed to get my hands on their iconic lipstick. That gorgeous black and gold tube was just too hard to pass up! Today I will be sharing my thoughts and swatches of the Tom Ford Lipstick in Indian Rose and Ruby Rush.

Tom Ford Indian Rose Lip Color
Is a wearable neutral nude pink shade. Formulation is creamy and moisturizing and has a slightly luminous (not glossy or frosty) finish on the lips. It looked really shiny or glossy in these photos due to the bright lighting I was using but it looks more muted under natural light. Color payoff is excellent and it offered the right amount of slip and moisture without being too slippery/creamy so it wore well for about 4 hours before fading to a light pink stain on the lips. This lipstick is perfect for those with dry/cracked lips since it is formulated with Soja seed extract, Brazilian Muru Muru Butter and Chamomilla Flower oil. I'm not really sure what those do tbh but this lipstick feels amazing on the lips. I was slightly put off by the scent but I eventually I got used to it and it didn't bother me as much. The color is very wearable and I expect this would go well with different skin tones also.
The color looks less shiny and not frosty in real life. Studio lighting gave it more sheen than it normally has.
Tom Ford Ruby Rush Lip Color Matte
Is a rich blue-toned red lipstick. Formulation is matte that is neither drying or creamy which gave it a fair amount of longevity compared to the previous shade. You need to prep your lips and moisturize properly before using this though since this is a matte formula. I love pairing this with my prep + prime lip since I have really dry lips. Color payoff is excellent and it lasted for a good 6-7 hours before I needed to re-apply on the middle area. The rich blue-toned red is perfect for the holiday season and made my teeth appear brighter/whiter than they really are. I also wore this at the office to test it's longevity and it did not disappoint.
Obviously, this brand is definitely not for those on a budget since it costs P2680 per tube. The formulation, pigmentation and longevity of these lippies are fantastic though and did not disappoint. I admit there are more affordable lipstick brands out there with the same pigmentation and quality so you can opt to get those if you want to save on cash. This was just a special treat for me since I had been having a rough couple of months. Something about its luxe black and gold packaging cheers me up and makes me feel like a million bucks when I swipe it on :)))
How about you? Are you a fan of this brand?
