Lakme Peach Pout Absolute Sculpt Matte HD Lipstick (Rs 700 for 3.7 gms)
Packaging – These lipsticks are cased in a classy gunmetal coloured packaging with a transparent cap. Funnily enough these are longer in length than that of a regular lipstick but they store lesser quantity! I am not a fan of this type of bullets and would any day like to use regular old lipstick bullets with the leaf shaped tip. I feel that the shape reaches out to every crease and corner and is one important reason behind proper application. Lakme Peach Pout Absolute Sculpt Matte HD lipstick comes in a gunmetal coloured outer cardboard cover that has all the details written on it.
Shade – Peach Pout is one shade to die for! It is a warm peach shade with is very bright in person and will only suit fair people. However if it is too much, you can always wear it as a stain. It can lean towards neon sometimes. I usually avoid flat peach/coral shades as I do not think those shades flatter me much. My mother on the other hand thinks completely otherwise and advises me to wear more of these colours. Nevertheless I am in love with this shade. I was out looking for some other colours from this range when the SA insisted that I try this shade out. I was apprehensive but I decided to take her advice and give it a try. And when all the other SAs cheered in appraisal, I thought maybe I don’t look all that bad after all!
Texture – It is very creamy and not at all drying. It applies smoothly but it is not that lightweight on the lips compared to other matte lipsticks.
Pigmentation & Finish – It is very pigmented and one swipe will lend you good coverage. But pigmented lips may require 2 coats after which no matter what, should not be layered again. Upon too many layering it gets patchy and uneven. It sets to a semi matte finish and within few minutes turns almost matte, but is not powdery matte.
Staying Power – Lakme Peach Pout Absolute Sculpt Matte stays for good 5-6 hours on me and fades evenly leaving a pretty stain behind. It does not dry out my lips but I think a layer of a clear balm after 3 hours might be necessary for some.

Overall Thoughts
I love Lakme Absolute Sculpt Matte HD range and the shade selection is impressive. Apart from few regular colours Lakme has done a good job in launching some very unique shades in this range. Even though the price is a bit steep for a drugstore brand yet I tell you it is worth one try.
Rating- 4.2/5 (Steep price and sometimes patchy application are the only negatives!)
