What’s the difference between Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle, Pigalle Follies and So Kate
I really don’t like to pick favourites with my shoes, so this post isn’t going to be about which shoe is better. It is all about providing you with the necessary information about Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle, Pigalle Follies and So Kate, so you can make an informed decision regarding which one is best for you.
These are his most popular styles and look very similar but here’s what makes them different.
1) The Pigalle is a brand classic that’s been around for over a decade. This style has the shortest toe box of the group, which gives the illusion of the highest arch. It comes in various heel heights such as the 85mm and 100mm, however, the most popular is the 120mm version. The heel is chunkier than the Follies or So Kate. For most, this makes the Pigalle more comfortable than the other two styles.
2) Pigalle Follies is the combination of Pigalle and So Kate. The Follies come with the widest selection of heel heights, ranging from flat to stiletto. The toe box is shorter than the So Kate but not as short as the Pigalle. The heel is narrow and tapered, like the So Kate. Many believe this is the least comfortable of the group due to the short toe-box and thin heel combination.
3) So Kate features the steepest pitch and the most severely pointed toe. The toe box is longer, and the heel is the thinnest. Some people find the longer toe box to be more comfortable.
The thinner heel of the Follies and So Kate gives an extremely sexy look, but this dainty yet edgy heel also means faster wear to the heel tap and heel. The So Kate is only available in a 120mm heel height, so if you are up for the challenge, then this is the shoe for you.
These pumps are famous for how gorgeous they make your legs and feet look, not for how comfortable they are…let’s face it once they reach 120mm, none of these heels are comfortable.
If you are trying to decide between the 3, I hope this helped. There is really no wrong choice, Louboutin shoes are stunning! Shop at www.highheelhierarchy.com for beautiful authentic CL shoes. Pre-owned but do you really care?
