DermaWand Review

As we age gravity takes over and Skin tends to sag or droop.

There are so many anti-aging products – lotions, creams, serums, even pills that claim to help with the effects of aging. Some work wonders and really make a difference and others just aren’t what they claim to be.

I’ve seen infomercials and ads about Dermawand and have to admit I was skeptical.

When DermaWand contacted me to review their product in lieu of an honest review I decided to do a little research and see what other users thought about the product.

There was a whole range of opinions - some people really love this product and saw results right away, others didn’t see results and some are very indifferent to the Dermawand and don’t really have much to say about the product one way or another.
I had to try it out for myself.

DermaWand is an at home non-surgical device which claims to give you toned, wrinkle free skin and a smoother complexion.
It was created by Christina Boves, a licensed aesthetician who understands the rejuvenating power of Radio Frequency Treatments, and has used DermaWand on herself to prove its benefits and results.
It is a handheld device that uses radio frequencies, which provide instant stimulation, giving a massage like effect helping to tighten facial features.
It can help eyebrows to appear lifted, remove deep wrinkles and folds, cheek puffiness and laugh lines.
Besides anti-aging benefits, it can also help reduce enlarged pores, help with uneven skin texture and even helps give plumper lips.

How to use DermaWand

-          Wash skin with your favorite cleanser. Rinse and pat it dry with a towel.

-          Apply DermaWand Preface treatment or your favorite moisturizer to your face and neck. This helps the wand glide easily over the skin.

-          Plug in the DermaWand.

-          Start on the lowest setting, once you’ve used the wand a few times you can increase the frequency level when you are comfortable. More sensitive skin may only be able to comfortably handle the lowest setting.

-          Sweep over an area of skin using a circular motion. Do this for at least 2 minutes. The bulb should lightly touch your skin, so you don’t need to apply pressure.

-          Start by using the DermaWand twice a day and after 3 or 4 weeks, you can reduce to using it four times a week. If you start to see results fade, use the DermaWand daily.

My Thoughts
I was excited but a little skeptical to use this device and was pleasantly surprised to see results almost instantly!
I sometimes find instructional videos corny or not at all helpful but this one is great and shows quite a few techniques on using the device. It also comes with an instructional booklet which has helpful tips.
You do need to get used to the sensation of the DermaWand, but if you begin on a low level and work your way up to higher levels you should have no problem.

It does give a tingling sensation – kind of like a bunch of little rubber bands snapping the skin at the same time and there is also a little bit of a zapping sound when the bulb touches the skin– trust me, it doesn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable.

It was easy to make DermaWand a part of my skin care regimen - twice a day, for 2 - 3 minute sessions, and I noticed brighter, more vibrant looking skin.

I began my treatments on a low frequency and increased it every few days, except around the eye area where skin is too delicate for a high frequency.

It’s best to test in on the back of your hand before you begin on your face, just to experience the slight sound and sensation of the DermaWand.

I didn’t have any redness or irritation after an application, my skin felt a little sensitive but no more than after I’ve given myself a facial mask.

After using DermaWand a few times I noticed the lines in my neck area became softer and my frown lines became less noticeable.

After using it for a few weeks I noticed my wrinkles were less defined, the texture and tone of my skin has improved and my entire face seemed lifted and rejuvenated.

Because of the results I see and feel, I will continue to use DermaWand as part of my regular skin care routine.

In this short video I show my DermaWand routine.
