Sequins were once the forte of lounge singers ,drag queens , holiday parties and the red carpet. In fact sequins were rarely worn by mere mortals and seemed to be the indulgence of celebrities. However we may all have looked at sequin as the dominion of others, deep inside we lusted for their sparkle. Who among us has not craved a sequined gown or jacket. Of course many have already indulged in a sequin party Dress , a disco halter top or other glitter items. However we can all agree that sequin is an evening fabric. Therefore we may all be surprised that all we knew about sequins is no longer relevant .

SEQUINS ARE HERE

Brace yourselves. You're about to start seeing sequin all over your timeline. As soon as Fashion Month ended, celebrities started giving the Spring 2018 trend a try. Yeah, we're talking about the same dazzling embellishments that are always a red-carpet winner. But now, sequins are starting to pop up in street-style looks, too. (In the daytime, people.) Fashion girls are taking note from the Spring 2018 shows and giving their sequin a casual makeover that actually looks amazing even when the sun is out.

So how are they able to make it work without looking like they're taking on the walk of shame? It's all about mixing in laid-back essentials. Your go-to basics—like button-down shirts, jeans, and flats—are key to pulling off the daytime sequin look.

SEQUINS ON THE RUNWAY

To say sequin and sparkles will be a big deal this spring/summer is an understatement. In every fashion capital, glitter prevailed. Sequin started with Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs right through to Gucci , Dior and Chanel.Tom Ford set the stage for the glittery glam trend early with a slew of Studio 54-ready evening looks.
   At both Monse and Oscar de la Renta, design duo Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia showed glittery, often logoed dresses .Stuart Vevers showed sequined calf-length skirts with tough biker jackets at Coach. Michael Kors teamed tie-front work shirts with twinkling ombré trousers and, strangely, flip-flops.
Many more got in on the glitter action here are just a few more: Molly Goddard, Simone Rocha, J.W. Anderson, Halpern, Christopher Kane, Dries Van Noten, Fendi.

SEQUINS FOR YOU

Darlings I'm really excited about this trend . Since we all know that some trends are stronger than others this sequin trend is already everywhere. In fact sequin in the day is a fun ,young trend. First this trend is sparkly and glittery a little more engaging that a cotton dress. Second the idea of sequins in the day time is really different than what we've seen .Third I think it will really inspire creativity on the streets.
