Bush Market

Hi again, this time Straighty and I ventured off to a Bush Market, it was a lovely Saturday morning, the Sun was shining, wait did I say that? Anyone who knows the surrounds of Melbourne would know that anytime you are liking the weather, it will probably change and it did over and over on Saturday and it was like several seasons over that time.

Despite the changing conditions on the day there were some very keen players who were determined to put their best fashion foot forward and stepped out for the day with grace and style.

Straighty didn't get to spot any fashions for the day as she was tied up the whole time, I will let you come to your own conclusions about that comment! So I guess this time it was up to me to do some serious blogging on some of the styles of the day.

A strikingly done ensemble was that of a Halter type Maxi-dress, a charming, milky, light cotton fabric with a large Floral pattern, reminiscent of a retro sixties style. This was worn with some lovely Black ankle boots, (this lass had a practical head for the rough terrain of the open air Market in choosing the boots), her hair was long and up in a half bun and it really suited the dress nicely.

The second Gal I spied was also wearing a retro inspired floral pattern, possibly fifties influenced, this time a short, full collared shirt dress with buttons up the top and a cleaner skirt. Some Brown leather Calf boots and a Wide Brimmed Cattlemen's Hat finished off the look, later she donned a caramel Cardigan and it all just flowed.

A delicious bite for lunch was some Dosas from an Indian Street Food stall, Straighty did get let loose for this experience and rather enjoyed the Chicken and Coconut pancake, while I devoured a Beef filled Dosa myself.

Another appealing combination was a Black Maxi-dress, thigh splits front & back, finished with a small orange flower pattern, teamed with a Chocolate Brown scoop neck Jumper. Some Neutral slides this time (not as practical for the terrain), but a great look and hair tied in a full bun, which just added stature with the extra show of leg.

Did I mention Buns a few times already, they were the feature of the day and really worked well out in the wind too.

Look of the day goes to,'the fashionable Mother'. Her hair tied at back, again bun style, a flowing White pleated Maxi-skirt, with Gold waistband, Black leather  Sandals and a Short Black Leather Jacket, with a baby in a front sling, that was a deep blue Navy, embellished with white Floral edges.

Till next post, mwah,

Katie
