This weekend has been a frantic ride through the Western and Northern suburbs of Melbourne.
While on the way to the Midsumma carnival in Melbourne, I have finally got a bit of spare time as I sit on the train with Straighty heading for the afternoon opening of Melbourne's fortnight plus of LGBTIQ celebration of diversity.
Friday night saw us dancing at the George Michael Tribute event in Footscray at 'Footscray I'm in Love' 'The Mersh', a wonderful beer garden and a great use of the Commercial Hotel. The West of Melbourne is really turning it on welcoming the LGBTIQ community and we were really well accepted by the locals.
Straighty looked so good in a Green Vintage top (Poupine) and black skirt, along with some glittery silver sandals, not only a great look but so practical for a few hours of Dancing. I wore a Midi dress with a lovely glittering black wrap that I donned for the occasion along with some gold open-toed sandals, which I had purchased some time ago from Diana Ferrari Moonee Ponds Clearance Outlet. They have made me so welcome in that store and I haven't even been dressed as Katie, but just strolled in wearing my man drag whenever I go, so I would recommend it to any FTM transgender readers or for that matter just anyone chasing a Stylish shoe bargain.
Back to the venue though, there were a mix of styles of dress though the one outfit that really caught my eye was a knee length dress that was bright Lemon in colour, this was worn with some black slingbacks that seemed a great accompaniment.
Saturday was so good going to Retro Star's five and ten dollar sale, Straighty and I spent four hours picking up and trying on some fantastic, mostly imported items that we will be rocking out wearing for some time to come. Oh did I say on our way to Midsumma, this will be awesome and we are already getting yesterday's stylish purchases out on the street!
Look out for our Midsumma posts coming up next.
