THE BACKSTREET CAFE

Hey I am back with something new and different and it is a treat for the foodies out there. A new eatery has been launched in the city of Mumbai and it is not like any other place I have been. This Cafe captures the essence of Mumbai from it's roots. The Backstreet Cafe welcomes you from the loud and busy life in Mumbai to a small replica of the city itself but there is just one difference, it is quite, calm and without any worries. The place will lift your mood with the most trending songs and the funniest quirky posters on the walls. The eye catching part of the cafe is the Bus. The Red Bus is just not a show piece but you can actually enter the bus and eat inside. That would the perfect place to host a get together. Doesn't it just scream Mumbai?

The staff is extremely attentive and oh so helpful. If you are confused by the wide spread of food then do go for the server's suggestion, you won't be disappointed.
The alakart menu of this cafe includes Indian, Asian, Chinese, Mexican cuisine, it is the right idea of heaven for a foodie like me. Not just food, but the variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are tremendous and presented in a very dainty and classy manner.
My mother and I went for quite a spread in order to experience almost of all the cuisines.
For starters, we ordered The famous chicken kebabs, chicken chilly and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was the most delectable thing I had that day. Filled with oozy gooey cheese and al dente  macaroni. Do not give it a miss.
For drinks, we ordered the Orange Pina Colada. It was absolutely refreshing and not heavy, making it the perfect accomplishment with the food.

For the main course, we went for Nasi Gorenge which is an Indonesian staple dish, a mixture of gravy, rice and half fried egg. It is slightly on the sweeter side so if that is your thing then do go for that.
And we ordered the chilly noodles which was the least favorite dish of mine as it wasn't spicy and was completely dry.

And to finish it off we had the Sizzling Brownie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. You can never go wrong with a sizzling brownie and this one was on par with the sizzling brownies I have had at high end restaurants.

If you are in the mood to have a break from your busy lives and spend some time with your friends and family without burning a hole in your pocket, then this is the place to go for.
