The holidays are over and now everyone has to go back to their work schedule. Sigh!! But why not give this "so called " work schedule a makeover, after all it is a new year and if the work place can't be new and revamped at least you can.
I am definite for the fact most of us would have a resolution to feel better and exude more confidence and why shouldn't you? That is Absolutely the correct path to go on and by putting yourself out there, you will be on the receiving end of more credibility and life experiences.
Keeping the life lectures aside, Makeover just makes me feel on top of the moon. The entire process of waxing, threading might be painful but getting that feeling of transitioning from a bear to a human is relieving to say the least. And of course then comes the relaxing part like the facials, haircuts and pedicures, sure they burn a hole in your pocket but it's not like you get it done every month. It is absolutely alright to treat yourself once. Plus it is a work place so there is nothing stopping you to go to different lengths.
Then comes the most mind numbing and difficult part and that is choosing the right thing to wear on the first day of work. Standing in front of your closet for hours can't succumb the stress. It might sound over the top but I know the other girls might totally relate to it.
Select something not extremely over the top or jazzy, go with a slightly Formal but also with some pizzazz. Something that exudes your personality and gives you confidence as if you are the queen of this world.
If I would be in such a situation, I would go for a simple semi formal checkered pencil Dress. This dress is appropriate for the work environment as well as gives some color to the boring work clothes one usually wears. I would team it up with a formal grey blazer, which would compliment the colors and style of the dress as well as make you ready to conquer any meetings or formal events at the work place. By getting inspired by the recent trend of capes, I decided to wear the blazer like a cape over the dress and I absolutely loved the way it turned out. But if you are not comfortable with it you can wear it as a blazer, after all that is the entire purpose of it.Finish the look with a pair of black stilettos and a black tote bag.
This look makes me feel true to myself and now I can conquer the year 2017.
