Are we going to have a big baby?

Hi everyone!

Yesterday Robert took a day off from work and he was able to come with me to my routine doctor appointment. Everything looked good, my blood pressure was good, hemoglobin levels were raising a little and that is a good sign, in the third trimester you are supposed to have between 9 and 15 units and I had 11 so that was perfect. Then the midwife checked my belly to see if the Baby was already positioned head down and luckily she was, her head is already engaged in the right position so she cannot turn anymore and that is a relief for me because I was sure that she was head up but luckily I was wrong! ( I did so many exercises to make her turn because I really did not want to risk having a C section but it turned out that she was already in the right position!!)

According to our last ultrasound 3 weeks ago, our baby girl is expected to be a little bigger than average and I would have never expected that! Considering that I am quite small and have only gained 9 kilos so far but yet she is expected to be around 3.7 kg at birth, we will see how it turns out to be! How big were your babies at birth?

Despite the baby being bigger than average, my belly always measures way below the average growth line but the midwife explained that they are not necessarily related. Once she had a patient whose belly was always way below the curve and yet her baby was born of 4.5 kg! ( Lets hope that is not our case, 4.5 kg would be way too big ). I was only 2.7 kg at birth and Robert was 4 kg so I guess baby Victoria is really her father`s daughter!!

I wish you all a lovely Saturday afternoon! Puss och Kram
