Every year Sephora has new Birthday gifts for their Beauty Insider members. This year, 2018, we have a choice of three new gifts, and there is something for everyone.
The three gifts cover skincare, makeup and haircare, but only one is cruelty-free if this is a concern of yours.
Glamglow Birthday Gift
This duo of Glamglow products is the skincare option this year. You will get Glamglow Glowstarter in Nude Glow (15 ml)and Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment (15 ml).
I have worked out that this gift has a value of $37 CND. This is based on buying the same size Supermud which they class as a mini for $27 and $10 for the Glowstarter, based on their trio pack which costs $30. It is available either in-store or online.
Bite Beauty Birthday Gift
This is the makeup gift which consists of two Bite Beauty lip products. You will get an Amuse Bouche mini lipstick in Chai, a mauve brown and a Matte Crème Lip Crayon mini in Glace which is a dusty mauve. There is also a small blister pack containing samples of what looks like the Algarve Lip Mask. This is available both online and instore.
As the sizes of these gifts are not stated it is hard to estimate the value, but if you take each as a half size of the originals, you are looking at an approximate value of $25 CND. This is the only cruelty-free option amongth the gifts!
Bumble and Bumble Birthday Gift
Your third option is for your hair and is a shampoo and conditioner from Bumble and Bumble. You will get a 30 ml sample of each from the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil range.
This gift has a value of $14 CND, based on the price of their 60 ml options. This gift is only available online.
So, there you have it, the three birthday gift choices for 2018. Will you choose hair, skin or beauty? If you only use cruelty-free, then I'm afraid your choice is limited to Bite Beauty.
Although I have to wait until March for my gift, at the moment I'm probably leaning towards the Bite Beauty option. I have had samples before and quite liked them. My only issue is the shades look a little dark for me, but I will test them beforehand. If they are too dark, then I will probably go for the Glamglow option.
