I received this Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette by PUR in my September Boxycharm and now after using it quite a bit, I'm ready to share my thoughts.

The Palette is a cardboard palette that feels quite sturdy and had a good magnetic clasp. The eyeshadows are laid out well and there is a good sized mirror in the lid. 

The top row of four shades are light neutrals, ranging from cream to a light taupe and they are all matte. The second row, also mattes, are deeper shades of browns, ranging from red to deep browns. The bottom row is all metallic shimmers. There is a range of cool and warm shades, so something for everyone.

My swatches were done using a primer on the top half (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) and bare skin on the bottom. All applied using my Hakuhodo 5523 brush.

I have used this palette quite a few times now and have become quite fond of it. I found the shadows did kick back a little in the pan, but nothing too bad. They are quite soft to use and the colour payoff was great when used over a primer, but not so much on bare skin. I also found, that when used on bare skin there was some fallout.

It's one of those palettes that you can just pick up and use as the shades are so neutral that you can wear them anywhere. The shadows lasted well on me as long as I used primer. I have tended to use the mattes much more than the shimmers as I found that these don't blend as well or last as long as the mattes. I have used them over the matte shades when I want a bit of shimmer rather than on their own.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the palette and it has joined my "most used" palette selection, so it can't be bad!
