How to Revamp a Worn Out Brand

Tags: business logo

Although change can be daunting, it is essential in Business. Even if you are a small business owner, it is vital to keep your business fresh and innovative, especially if you are targeting a younger demographic. Always be looking to innovate and be ahead of the competition. If you stop being open to change or new ideas, your business will be left behind.

There comes a time when your business image begins to look dated. Maybe your Logo looks like it was created in the 80’s or maybe your website doesn’t have the functionality consumers have come to expect. You should aim to maintain the core elements of your style, but give them a face-lift to bring them up to the current times. By doing so, you will be able to maintain the loyalty, trust and recognition of your existing customers and attract a range of new leads.

Often you don’t need to do anything drastic to produce a significant result for your business. Even if you are planning to create a new image, look for the little things you could change that will produce a massive result. Maybe you could simply improve the way you reply to queries via your website or phone. Maybe you could update the colours of your branding material. Of course, you could go for a complete overhaul by going for a new logo design or website but the truth is making some minor tweaks in most instances will improve your bottom line. Maybe it’s time to add a new product line or repackage an existing product or service. Chances are, you are sitting on an untapped gold mine.
If you are new to business, ask yourself these questions in terms of what your competitors are doing. That way you will discover weaknesses in their businesses that you can avoid.

Whether you like it or not, in business, image matters. You could give your logo a new look and apply this to all your marketing pieces. Make sure your website reflects the same look as your printed marketing material because your potential customers will probably check it out before they give you a call. When change is necessary, commit yourself to making it happen. We all get busy and forget to make the changes we know will make a difference. Although it may be painful to change at times due to the cost, the growth of your business will be well worth the effort.
