Python String upper() Method



Hello guys! Welcome back to another section of my tutorial on Python. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be discussing about the Python String upper() method.

Python String upper() method returns a copy of the string in which all the case-based characters have been uppercased.

Syntax

The following below is the syntax for Python String upper() method -

str.upper( )

Parameter Details

  • NA.

Return Value

This returns a copy of the string in which all the case-based characters have been uppercased.

Example

The following below is a simple example -

#!/usr/bin/python

str
= "this is string example....wow!!!";
print "str.capitalize() : ", str.upper()

Output
Below is the output of the above example -

str.capitalize() :  THIS IS STRING EXAMPLE....WOW!!!
