Have you ever tried to Remove the background of an image in Photoshop?
There are a handful of ways to do it, but each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses.
One way to do it is with blending options.
Simply select Fx>Blending Options below the Layers window:
Then in the blending options under “This Layer” adjust the top slider to gradually remove the white background from an image, or adjust the bottom slider to remove black.
This generally only works with white or black backgrounds and you might see parts of your subject disappear if it has black shadows or white highlights.
Another way to remove a background is to use the Magic Wand or Quick Selector Tool to select the background.
Then either cut or remove using Ctrl+X or Backspace respectively or use the Eraser tool to gently remove the background.
However, achieving results that are easily as good as taking either of these paths is now incredible simple using ClippingMagic.com
So, I’ll test it out with an image:
Let’s remove the sky.
All you have to do is use the red selector tool to select the background, and the green selector tool to select the foreground.
The results are freaking awesome.
However, in order to download the finished product you have to purchase a subscription.
I think this is a really great product for people selling products on Ebay that want to spruce up their pictures, or models and actors editing head shots.
Obviously, if you have Photoshop you won’t benefit much from this website.
However, if you’re in need of a seriously simple and quick way to remove the background from an image, check it out!
