To celebrate this past year, we decided to list our top 15 favorite accomplishments of 2015 – trust us, we had a pretty fantastic year.
1. We were in the Superbowl!
To start 2015 off right, we Worked with Wieden+Kennedy to animate a few frames of a Weight Watchers commercial featuring Aaron Paul. Look out for our purple hippo at the 20 second mark!
2. We got a brand new studio!
This year, we expanded and renovated our old Studio space. Now we’ve got a stylish suite and plenty of space for our team.
3. We created a webseries!
We Premiered a short series on the Dreamworks TV YouTube Channel called Advice Times with Grandpa Theo. Our team collaborated with AwesomnessTV and produced the series ourselves, including scripts, character designs, and voice acting.
4. We were on ESPN!
We Animated SportsNation host Michelle Beadle in a Punch-Out!!-style training sequence. The short premiered on ESPN’s SportsNation leading up to the big fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather.
5. Our animation premiered at Soldier Field!
We worked with Martellus Bennett and his team to create ZOOVIE: A Warm and Fuzzy Tale, which he premiered at the Chicago Bears home stadium during Family Fest in August. We always have a Blast Working with Marty, and we enjoyed some quality time with him and his team this past year.
6. We worked on Mortal Kombat!
Our team loves fighting games, and we jumped at the chance to work with NetherRealm Studios on their latest installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise. We got to animate some slick motion comics featuring the characters of Mortal Kombat X.
7. We Super Smashed!
Our team held the First Annual Super Smash Brothers Powerhouse Championship this past year. Our own Robby Johnson took the crown as Captain Falcon.
8. We animated shorts for Nickelodeon!
We teamed up with Nickelodeon to make the stars of Henry Danger into animated superheroes. Our action-packed shorts are up on the Nickelodeon website.
9. We worked on Battle Chasers!
We got to team up with Joe Madureira again on the video game revival of his beloved series Battle Chasers. We worked with his team at Airship Syndicate and animated some killer cinematics for the Battle Chasers: Nightwar Kickstarter.
10. We started monthly cosplay life drawing!
Thanks to our creative director Megan Kluck, we set up on our monthly life drawing called Go Figure! Each session we invite our team and friends of the studio to draw people in costume.
11. We were on the jumbotron!
We had the chance to work with the University of Texas to make a short Animation featuring the legendary Bevo for the jumbotron at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. Our animation played big and bright during the UT home games. We even got to meet Charlie Strong! Hook ‘em, y’all!
12. We animated Aaron Rodgers!
We worked with the esteemed ad agency DDB to create a social media ads campaign for State Farm Insurance. We did what we do best: took Aaron Rodgers and turned him into a pixelated hero of his own video-game-style ad.
13. We met LeSean Thomas!
The incredibly talented Lesean Thomas came to visit our studio. He gave an inspirational talk about his career and showed us some behind-the-scenes of his new project, Cannon Busters.
14. One word: BROFORCE!!
We had a blast working with Devolver Digital on a launch trailer forof the tongue-in-cheek, all-action, all-bro, all-American indie game, Broforce.
15. What else can we say? We did some amazing work this year. Check it out!
