Google used the 2016 Oscars awards night to launch “Android Rock, Paper and Scissors”, an animated television commercial tackling bullying and cliques. “Paper”, a new arrival at school, discovers that being similar to others does not necessarily lead to quick acceptance. Paper and Rock befriend another bullying victim, Rock, and overcome their fears to become best of pals. “Rock, Paper and Scissors don’t have much in common, but that won’t stop them. Be Together. #NotTheSame”. Is the Android Rock Paper Scissors message tackling school yard bullying? Or is it about cross platform collaboration for developers? Probably both.

The Android Twitter channel provided two short animated videos as a nod to the Oscars, featuring Rock, Paper and Scissors.
