Pokémon Go has been one of the most the interesting augmented reality games developed by Niantic for Android and IOS devices with supreme popularity since the release of this game on July 6, 2016. Pokémon Go is geographical location based game that offers trainers to located, capture, train and battle the virtual creatures that appear on the mobile screen as if they were in the same real world. Pokémon Go includes Pokémon from Silver and Gold universe of video games, and the map features the Pokéstops and Pokémon gyms.
Niantic has presented trainers with all new Pokémon characters in this new and biggest update since the launch of this game. So what’s new in this update?
- 80 new Pokémon from “Johto” region of Pokémon Silver and Gold Universe.
- Pokémon can be caught based on Gender specific variations.
- New Encounter Gameplay Pokémon react in a different manner when you discover can try to catch them.
- New option of selecting Berries and Pokéball from Encounter Screen is presented.
- Pokémon Go Apple Watch 2 companion is now available that keeps you updated about the activity of the game and Pokémon around you.
- A new feature of evolution is available at Pokéstops.
- Two New Berries has been introduced.

- Players can customize avatar’s appearance from Pokémon Go Shop with a whole new selection of hats, shirts, pants, and other items.
- Bonus candies are rewarded for catching evolved Pokémon.
- New Night Map along with encounter music has been included.
- Various text and Bug fixes are concluded.
Pokemon Go Gen 2 Update
With the massive success of Pokémon Go and enormous obsession among the players, Niantic has launched Pokémon Go Gen 2 with the aim to attain equivalent zeniths.
Pokémon Go Generation 2 comes with exciting 100 new Pokémon and 87 new moves to the game. Pokémon Go Generation 2 embraces Pokémon from Gold, Silver and Crystal universe. Pokémon Gen 2 has the complete Pokédex that gives the full information about the evolution and power of the Pokémon. Many trainers were looking for new moves Pokémon Gen 2 offers 87 new moves in the game with new tactics for the evolving and powering up their Pokémon.
The Generation 2 baby Pokémon is available through hatching eggs. Pichu, Cleffa, Jigglypuff, and Togepi are the new baby Pokémon that are hatched from 2 km eggs. Magby, Elekid, and Smoochum are the baby Pokémon that are hatched from 5km eggs. The baby Pokémon that are hatched from 10 km eggs are speculated to be seen soon. Here is the evolution of 7 baby Pokémons in this update:-
- Pichu evolves into Pikachu
- Cleffa evolves into Clefairy
- Jigglypuff evolves into Jigglypuff
- Togepi evolves into Togetic
- Magby evolves into Magmar
- Elekid evolves into Electabuzz
- Smoochum evolves into Jynx
Also, Tyrogue (Fighting type) is the newly added baby Pokémon that evolves to Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop. Also, Generation 2 speculates the upcoming of the legendary Pokémon soon. Some new evolutions will be seen in Pokémon Go Gen 2.
Pokemon Go Eevee Evolution
Pokémon Generation 2 comes with an exciting 100 new Pokémon. Along with this Eevee, one of the most popular Pokémon is now capable of evolving into two new forms Espeon (Psychic type) and Umbreon (Dark type) in addition to previous three forms.
With Pokémon Go, the evolution of Eevee (Normal form) was restricted to Vaporeon (Water type), Jolteon (Electric type) and Flareon (Fire type).
Trainers are capable of controlling the evolution of Eevee (Max CP=969) into the desired type by renaming their Eevee before the evolution. 25 candies are required to evolve this Pokémon.
“Rainer” to evolve it into Water-type Vaporeon (Max CP=2816)
“Sparky” to evolve it into electric type Jolteon (Max CP=2140)
“Pyro” to evolve it into fire type Flareon (Max CP=2643)
Generation 2 evolution of Eevee, trainers can rename their Eevee to corresponding names “Sakura” and “Tamao” to get their desired type of evolution. Here also 25 candy are required for the evolution.
“Sakura” to evolve it into psychic type Espeon (Max CP=3000)
“Tamao” to evolve it into dark type Umbreon (Max CP=2052)
Evolution of Eevee has been a substance of dispute and trainers confused about the evolution of Eevee. Niantic has revealed that the evolution of Eevee in the Pokémon Go game is based on the Pokémon cartoon series where Rainer, Sparky, and Pyro were known as Eevee Brothers who trained Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon respectively. The players can rename their Eevee to the name of these trainers and get the desired evolution.
