Try out Windows 8! It's a really interesting OS.

Hey, guys. So last year, I downloaded a copy of the Metro-style based Operating System Windows 8. It was a pretty unique and...colorful experience for me. Firstly, the boot screen is very new. Usually, on previous Windows versions, you'll see the good-old logo, with the word "Windows" beside it, along with the version (i.e Windows 7, Windows XP, etc.). Well, here you just get the new tile-based logo.
Very similar to Mac OS X.

Looks an awful lot like Mac OS X, doesn't it? Pretty interesting, by the way. Really gives me the illusion of being in a dark room, and looking at a window. Hmm...I wonder what's out there?
I like the new Windows logo. Really simple, and easy to draw too!

Operating System selection screen
Also, the Operating System Selection screen is very different. Instead of the traditional "Command Prompt"-like interface you get when you start up your computer, you get a blue screen that shows you all the OS's installed on your hard drive.
The operating system selection screen, only present when you have multiple operating systems on the same computer.

Windows 8's new Metro interface, which consists of Live Tiles, is a total game changer--definitely a far cry from the standard "taskbar, desktop, and icons" interface that was always featured in previous versions of Windows.
Pretty cool, I say. Love how the Tiles update themselves. No wonder they're called "Live" Tiles!

Personal Review
To me, this OS was really just built for simple things, like surfing the web, music, entertainment, and shopping. I don't think most games (if any) work on this OS. I tried to play certain games like The Sims, and Chicken Invaders.  I might be wrong, though. Personally, though, Windows 7 is an ideal gaming OS. Windows 8 is really easy to use.
