For anyone that has EA Origin, you know that the online store is sparse with content. Today, EA has announced that it will increase its inventory with Warner Bros. titles coming to EA’s Origin Access. This is the first time another publisher has been brought to EA’s online marketplace.
Here are the titles being added to The Vault and available now:
- Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Batman: Arkham City
- Batman: Arkham Origins
- LEGO Batman
- LEGO Batman 2
- LEGO Batman 3
There are more titles that will also be added to The Vault. The following titles are listed as “Coming Soon”, giving more padding to the online store.
- The Witness
- Out of the Park Baseball 19
- Lost Castle
- Bulletstorm – Lite
- Wasteland 2
The addition of these titles also brings along with it a free trial of Origin Access. You can give the service a spin from now until March 26 and play the titles added to The Vault. After that, you will be charged the regular monthly fee for access to these and other titles. EA Origin Access costs $4.99 a month, or $29.99 when you opt in for the annual pricing.
What’s interesting about the addition of new games to The Vault, is that it follows swirling rumors of acquisition talks from earlier this year. There was mention of company giants like Microsoft looking to EA for exclusives. But, does this mean that EA itself is looking to bring on a company like Warner Bros. Interactive? What do you think it means for EA’s Origin is that it’s the first developer outside of Electronic Arts to join the online marketplace?
