It’s official, Rollercoaster Tycoon World is coming to the Mac.

The game was first announced for Windows and Linux only, with absolutely no reference to the Mac. It seems developer Nvizzio Creations changed its mind, as they are the ones who officially revealed that a Mac version is in the works. I guess it’s better late than never right?

The game is already available for Windows on Steam Early Access, but the Mac version won’t be available until the game’s final release.

Just to be clear, you can buy the game on Steam, but the Mac version won’t be available. And as always, I suggest you wait until the official Mac release before taking out your wallet (Mac versions have disappeared at the very last minute in the past!).

RollerCoaster Tycoon World is the fourth installment in the series and will use the same formula we know and love.

RCT World will be all about building and managing your very amusement park. It will let you build your own rides, shops and roller coasters and manage your staff, budgets and happiness levels. Basically do all within your power to make your park a huge success. Just like RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, the game will feature 3D graphics and will let you ride your own creations (except everything should look much prettier).

RollerCoaster 3 is an all-time favorite. Many call it one of the best strategy games ever and old-time fans are crossing their fingers: RTC World better be good.
