Hello everyone! My name is Gandalin and welcome to another World of Warcraft guide. Today I’ll be showing you how to obtain the Arcanist’s Manasaber. This Mount is awarded for experiencing the entire Nightfallen story in Suramar, which involves completing several quest lines and killing the final boss of the Nighthold raid. To start working toward this mount, you need to reach level 110 and unlock Suramar by visiting Khadgar in Legion Dalaran’s Violet Citadel.
The quests he gives will introduce you to Thalyssra and the Nightfallen, and establish a base of operations in Suramar. Once you’ve opened up Shal’Aran, you can start working on the first quest line, which is measured by the Nightfallen But Not Forgotten achievement. These quests introduce you to other Nightfallen characters and set up the main part of the story. Just complete all the quests lines Thalyssra gives you and you’ll have this done in about an hour. The story continues with the 6 main parts of the Good Suramaritan achievement. This is the toughest part of getting this mount, as the story chapters are locked behind Nightfallen reputation. For a full explanation of the requirements for each piece, head over to my guide for Good Suramaritan.
There are also 5 side story lines in this achievement that you can do, though they are not required to progress to the next step. However, you might as well do them anyway since you’ll probably have some downtime as you farm Nightfallen rep. Plus, Good Suramaritan is one of the bigger requirements to get flying in Legion. Next up is the Insurrection achievement quest line, which was added in Patch 7.1.5. This story is about the Nightfallen siege of Suramar City and leads up to the Nighthold raid. It originally unlocked over the course of 9 weeks, but is now completely available, so you can pretty much breeze right through it. All the chapters start from Thalyssra in Shal’Aran. There are only two pieces that will slow you down. Between Waxing Crescent and An Elven Problem, you will get a quest to do 10 world quests in Suramar. Completing the side story parts of Good Suramaritan unlocks world quests in those parts of the zone, so again it would be beneficial not to skip them even though they aren’t required for the mount. Depending on how many world quests you have available in Suramar, this part will take 1 to 3 days to finish.
The next roadblock comes between March on Suramar and Elisande’s Retort. This quest asks that you complete 5 order hall missions. This will also take you 1 to 3 days to do, but after that you’ll be able to finish the achievement in no time. Once you’ve earned Insurrection, there will be an optional quest called The Nighthold: Lord of the Shadow Council that you can pick up from Khadgar in Suramar. This asks that you go into the Nighthold raid and kill Gul’dan. This can be done on any difficulty, so the fastest way would be to queue for the LFR wing called Betrayer’s Rise.
Once he’s dead, DO NOT leave the instance until you turn the quest in to Khadgar. He will then give you the quest to bring the Eye of Aman’Thul back to Dalaran. After that’s done, head back to Shal’Aran in Suramar. Oculeth will have a quest for you called Fate of the Nightborne, which awards the Arcanist’s Manasaber. This is a flying mount and will change its speed based on your location and riding skill. It also has the neat effect of applying Masquerade when you are in Suramar City, provided that you know the spell in the first place. The mount is also account-bound, so you only have to acquire it once. And that’s it for this video! If this guide helped you, leave a comment down below, and give it a big thumbs up!
