Cricket may not interest Koena mitra but the same cannot be said about her interest in cricketers.

It was recently reported that Koena is the latest actress to be bowled over by a cricket star’s charm, and the object of her affection is none other than Mahendra Singh Dhoni!

Apparently, the Bengali bombshell and Dhoni took a fancy to each other at the hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani’s salon, Mad-o-Wot, in Bandra just days before he left for West Indies for the upcoming World Cup series was introduced to Dhoni..

Koena was at Sapna’s salon to try out a new look for a film, while Dhoni was getting his hair coloured before leaving for the World Cup. There was a definite flirtatious vibe between them, and they began chatting like old friends right after their first meeting.

It is interesting that Koena could identify Dhoni, despite her lack of knowledge and interest in cricket. Dhoni, for his part, was definitely excited about being acquainted with Koena.

He even mentioned meeting Koena to his teammates, who’ve taken no time in teasing the cricketer about his crush oops... brush with the actress. Interestingly, the duo also exchanged mobile numbers before parting ways. “It was quite sweet to see them interacting, since both of them are single and extremely hot,” adds a client who was present in the salon.

However, Koena on being asked about this latest brush admitted to meeting Dhoni at the salon. “Yes, I did meet Dhoni at Sapna’s salon, but I am not seeing him!” she said.

She added that she isn’t familiar with cricket nor takes interest in cricketers. “Honestly, I’m not a fan of the game.

I’m only really aware of players like Rahul Dravid and a few others because I watch their commercials on television. Other than that, I don’t care.”

When asked if she exchanged numbers with Dhoni, Koena said, “No, I didn’t.”
