“Simon continues to help Alex try to find the terrorist, but doing so puts his own life in great risk,” the synopsis for the ABC drama reveals. Could another one of Alex’s allies be taken out of the game? Viewers will have to tune in to episode 17, titled “Care,” to find out.

Simon’s hard work might pay off soon, though. The trailer reveals that she will get closer to finding out who the terrorist is. At the end of the promo video, she is instructed to hand a phone to someone in a car. When the window rolls down, Alex looks surprised at who she sees.

This is supposed to be Alex’s last job for the terrorists, but “Quantico” executive producer Joshua Safran explained why that’s bad news. “This will be the Final Mission that Alex must do for the Voice, and if she does it, she risks not hearing from them again and therefore not being able to track them down, so the question is, will she or will she not do the final mission she is tasked for, and what exactly is that mission?” Safran told Entertainment Weekly.

In the present-day timeline, it’s Alex’s love life that’ll be causing drama. The video above shows her hooking up with her classmate Drew (Lenny Platt). It looks like they’ll get some alone time during a special training exercise. “At Quantico, the NATs’ current assignment is to learn about human trafficking when Liam [Josh Hopkins] and Miranda [Aunjanue Ellis] challenge them to cross the U.S.-Canadian border without passports,” the synopsis teases.
