THE FAULT IN OUR STARS Writers Join Again To Pen NEW MUTANTS

20th Century Fox’s NEW Mutants film seems to have got some motion going as it has gained two writers to pen the script for the upcoming film linked to the X-MEN universe.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who both worked together on teen drama film THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, will be joining forces once again to write the upcoming NEW MUTANTS script.

The film has been teased slowly by FOX with characters who’ll show up as the NEW MUTANTS revealed as Danielle Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, Cannonball, Magik and Warlock. The comic, debuting in 1982, was the first of the X-MEN spin-offs for the time and saw a group of new teens coming into their powers, labelling themselves as the NEW MUTANTS.

Little else is known of the film as for once FOX has kept hush on a  possible release date, clearly trying to plan out a further X-MEN character universe. Recently things took a turn for the worse with GAMBIT as it lost it’s director, but we still have DEADPOOL 2 and another X-MEN film we’re guessing somewhere down the line. Not to mention X FORCE in the works, plus the upcoming WOLVERINE 3 next year in March.
