Given the celebratory Easter period, Paramount Pictures feel the time is right to release the first featurette for the upcoming action-packed religious remake, BEN-HUR. This one has Rodrigo Santoro discussing his role as Christ in the upcoming epic adventure.

Lew Wallace’s timeless novel, ‘Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ,’ gets another chance on the big-screen with WANTED helmer Timur Bekmambetov taking the directing reins and BOARDWALK EMPIRE actor Jack Huston in the heroic title role previously played by Charlton Heston.

Ben-Hur is the epic story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), an officer in the Roman army. Stripped of his title, separated from his family and the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is forced into slavery. After years at sea, Judah returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption.

Co-starring Toby Kebbell, Morgan Freeman, Rodrigo Santoro, Nazanin Boniadi, Ayelet Zurer, and Sofia Black-D’Elia, BEN-HUR rides into cinemas August 12.
