The Pokemon brand is as popular and relevant as it has ever been, and more of the famous franchise is coming soon. Pokemon’s next handheld adventure begins November 18 on the Nintendo 3DS with Pokemon Sun and Moon. A new accessory, a bracelet branded the Pokemon Z-Ring Set, will also go on sale and is available for preorder today.
The set is available for preorder, alongside Pokemon Sun and Moon, on Amazon.com, GameStop, and other toy stores. Amazon’s current price is $29.99 and GameStop has the set listed at $32.99. Extra Z-Crystals are sold separately.
The Amazon.com listing for the wearable bracelet states that users can “Feel the thrill of battle as the POKÉMON Z-RING lights up, makes sounds, and vibrates!”
The type-based attack icons on each Z-CRYSTAL become visible as they light up when inserted into Z-RING. Each Pokemon type has its own Z-Attack that can be used once per battle, according to the most recent Sun and Moon trailer from Nintendo. The trailer showcases Pikachu using the flashy Electric Z-Attack Gigavolt Havoc, as well as the Fire, Grass and Water attacks.
The Z-RING features two ways to play: synchronized with the video game for 4D experience or in role play scenarios. Different Z-CRYSTALS will unlock different colors, sounds and vibrations. Two AAA batteries are required and included with the set.
Plushies of the three Sun and Moon starter Pokemon have also been announced.
