2K has announced today that the Lakers superstar and 18-time All-Star will be on the cover of a special “Legend Edition” of NBA 2K17.

As well as featuring on the cover of the game, NBA 2K17 will also contain all kinds of Kobe related content, both digital and physical, including:

Physical Items:

• Limited-edition Kobe poster;
• Two Kobe Panini trading cards;
• Black Mamba game controller skin.

Digital Content:

• 30,000 Virtual Currency;
• MyTEAM Bundle + (includes 3 packs with guaranteed Kobe limited use card);
• Nike Kobe 11 retirement shoes;
• Kobe #8 Mitchell and Ness jersey;
• Kobe hoodie.

The Legend Edition will be available in digital and physical formats, but digital buyers will only receive the digital content.

Speaking about the announcement, Kobe said, “It’s a great honor to partner with 2K on the NBA 2K17 Legend Edition. As I walk off the NBA court for the final time, it’s exciting to know my fans can continue to celebrate my lifelong career as a Los Angeles Laker.”

The NBA 2K17 Legend Edition will be available in both digital and physical formats on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The physical edition is a GAME exclusive in the UK.
